I have always loved music and grew up on it.  My brother was a big "rap" fan so I pretty much
stole and borrowed his tapes (Naughty By Nature, Boogie Down Productions, NWA and of
course the "KINGS OF ROCK", RUN DMC (RIP Jam Master Jay).  I had friends that like to go to teen
nights at Yakety Yak in Ocean and I went.  I saw first hand what I was going to be doing for my
life.  They were like god's to me.  Soon after that I bought my first turntables at about 13.  No
doubt they were not that good, (Belt Driven Gemenis), but I learned how to mix and scratch with
them, CAREFULLY MIND YOU.

I used to listen to hot 97 (Funk master Flex, D.J.JazzyJeff, Stretch Armstrong,  Chuck Chill Out,
Grandmaster Flash, D.J. Red Alert and other D.J.s 24/7 and loved all the DJs and always had
an ear open for scratching and beat mixing (Bad Boy Bill & Richard Humpty Vision).  I would
actually record the mixes they did, then buy the same records and practice until I could do it.

My first job was working for Cisco's Disco, doing parties and the Ramada Inn in Hazlet.  Under
the influence of his Deejays (Robbie O, Riki, Steve, Dave (RIP), and John (RIP).  I was like a sponge; I
filled in the gaps of what I didn't know and from there I just kept practicing and learning more
everyday and every night.

After that I began working with
DJ Cory Minto and we did events as well even though our music
likes were  different.  It was a good time and a great way to make money.  BIG SHOUT OUT TO
CORY!!!  Soon after that, Cory got me a job at Stingrays (Birch Hill Complex) and  I was able to
showcase my talent in the side hip hop room.  It only held about 100 people but it was the
greatest feeling in the world to me.  I even got into a LIVE DJ battle with going around the back
and tricks!!!  Stingrays only lasted a few years though.  (THANKS ART!!!)  So DJ Cory Minto and I
began to bounce around from Jack's in Long Branch to Ashes in Red Bank, among other places.

About 5 years ago, I ran into DJ Robbie O again through a friend, and we became tight once
again.  I've been working with/for him over 4 years now and thanks to the  mixture of "who you
know" and "what you can do", aka luck,  I had the please of playing for 2 years @ Jenkinsons
and I am currently at
Joe Pop's in Long Beach Island 2 nights a week, among other places.
Life got much better and easier.

I don't worry if I don't sound like a professional, but when
DJ Robbie O let me play for 15
minutes the first time on a Friday night at
Jenkinson's over the summer of 2007, my hands were
truly shaking and I was nervous for the first time ever.  The RUSH was unimaginable.  That many
people dancing to my music, just the though of it scared me.  After my time was up I was still
shaky, but it felt amazing!  My music was not just being heard, but enjoyed by 3500 people.
LIFE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER!!!

When I got married in April of 2007, along with the best wife imaginable, I was able to purchase
DJ equipment for myself.  So a few months after the wedding, I registered my DJ company which I
am currently very busy booking private events (weddings, sweet 16s, graduation parties, school
dances etc.) and it is going very well.  Honestly, besides spending time with my wife Anneabeth
and the future "little Mensons" that will be running around, there is no better feeling than
playing music that people love and being payed for it, whether it be at a nightclub or a private
event.

On top of that, the 2008 Reader's Poll from
Night and Day Magazine had named me as the 4th
Best DJ in both, Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

For over a year, I have been building my residency popularity working @
On The Deck in Atlantic
Highlands, NJ for their Ladies Nights every Thursday which switched into Fridays, starting @
10pm.  The crowd is great; a variety of very friendly people which help to create a sophisticated,
sexy and mature atmosphere with the help of an amazing staff.

In 2009 I had received an email from a well known radio jock, "matt Knight" from G-Rock
(106.3FM).  The station was being reformatted towards Top 40/Mainstream station.  He had
asked if I was interested in doing a weekly mix show on Tuesday afternoons appropriately named
the
HIT MIX @ 5.  Of course I was.  Needless to say, I have been rocking the ride home for people
for over a year now  and I'm loving the exposure, the additional work that I have received from it
and the weekly compliments and support.

Last but not least, I want to thank every person I have ever come in contact with, especially my
mother, father and of course my wife Anneabeth for always being there for me and turning me
into the man that i was so in the opposite direction of becoming.  Also to those people that have
affected my life, good or bad.  You have all been a part of my life and have somehow brought me
to a point in my life where I am the happiest I have ever been.

I forever thank you all
